New Kelani Bridge or නව කැළණි පාලම or "කල්යාණි රන් පිවිසුම" or Kalyani Golden gate is the newset road/ bridge addition to Sri Lanka's Road network.

It was identified that crossing Kelani river is the biggest obstacle to motorists and main bottleneck in Colombo or Sri Lanka road network.
This bridge is a suspention bridge and the drive through feels like your are driving on a developed foreign country for a moment.
I used to take this route daily for work and it was a hell indeed on Mondays and Fridays, taking up to 45 minutes in extreme jams. Now, less than 3 minutes.
